For the sixth release of Space Cast we welcome a very special selector, Cash and visual response by Bec Armstrong

Cash

Cash's music collection is influenced by and spans across many different genres. This mix is a nod to his musical beginnings playing in melodic hardcore and punk bands and his love for the shoegaze movement. Cash has created an expansive and breath taking mix which leaves you with a feeling of elation, stillness and contentment, like the feeling of taking a deep deep breath and sighing it out. This mix is deep, moving and emotional with swirling vocals and waves of distortion. Dive in and let is wash over you.

'This mix was made when we had a lot of space and time to reflect. Not necessarily physical space but space from our normal lives. This collection of music captures that feeling and time for me. I am very happy to include a number of songs from bands I love and music that I was shown by people I love.'

Bec Armstrong is a multidisciplinary artist who works across drawing, painting & installation. Bec is influenced by the life cycles and transience of the natural world. Her work and process contemplates mortality, life and death and all the subtle layers that lie between. Bec is inspired by the ephemeral nature of our existence. She is constantly investigating how to translate this frailty visually onto paper.
